From the FOOLS International.com Facebook Page:
Yesterday, brother Anthony Gillan was seriously injured during a training evolution. He was training a recruit at the academy and a haligan bar had been left at the top of an extension ladder for VES. He went to move the ladder and the haligan came straight down and drove the forks into his helmet. His helmet saved his life, but he received crush injuries to his third and fourth vertebrae causing severe spinal complications. He lost consciousness for several minutes. He is out of surgery and recovering. Prognosis is very good but the recovery will be long term.
He and his wife have asked for everyone to keep them in their thoughts. The International will post updates to his condition as they become available. Please respect their privacy at this time, allowing Tony time to recover. Please post your thoughts here and they will see them.
