FIREFIGHTER FROM INDIA KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY – COMMERCIAL FIRE & EXPLOSION

We regret to pass on that a Firefighter was killed in the Line of Duty and another Firefighter received burn injuries while trying to fight a restaurant fire in India earlier today.
The area fire brigade got a call around 0100 hours for a fire at the restaurant in an area called Kalyan township, in the Aadharwadi fire station response area, who turned out with 6 Firefighters.
While they were operating, an explosion took place at the restaurant, killing Firefighter Amle (age 57) immediately. Another Firefighter received serious burn injuries in the mishap and was admitted to a nearby hospital.
The other Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control. Our condolences to all those affected. Rest In Peace.
