We regret to pass on that a Firefighter, who was an incident support crew member assigned to the Frijoles Fire, died in the Line of Duty.
The medical incident occurred on Sunday, August 23, 2026. Emergency personnel responded immediately, the patient was transported to a local hospital and despite the efforts of emergency medical responders, the patient did not survive the medical event.
Close to 1,000 Firefighters have been operating at that fire. Our condolences to all those affected. Rest in peace.
