FARGO — The Fargo Fire Department responded to a fire call Saturday morning, March 27, at a north Fargo apartment building.
Firefighters responded to reports of activated fire alarms as well as smoke inside the building at 11:57 a.m. at 2821 8th St. N. Upon arrival a fire was found in the wall near the building’s north entrance as well as smoke throughout the building.
Responders began to work on accessing the area which was burning. Since the fire was inside the wall and floor, crews removed the wall sheeting and flooring to expose the structural members which were ablaze.
Fire was found in the floor and wall of the front entry, the wall of a storage space near the entry and the wall of an adjoining unit, a news release from the department stated.
Initial estimates put the damages at $25,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
