All,
We regret to pass on that a Firefighter Line of Duty Death occurred Sunday (yesterday) afternoon, August 24, 2025, on the Bivens Creek Fire in southwest Montana.
The fallen Firefighter was actively involved in fire suppression on the ground when he suffered a cardiac emergency. A line Paramedic rendered rapid medical assistance; however, resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful.
Support is being provided to the fellow wildland firefighters and friends on the Bivens Creek and Cloudrest Fires.
Our condolences to all those affected. Rest in peace.
Take care. Be careful. Pass it on.
