All,
A gunman shot 3 people, including a Firefighter and a Deputy Sheriff, at the Tri-State Fair & Rodeo in Texas, before he was shot and wounded by sheriff’s deputies. Just before 2300 Monday, a man opened fire on Potter County deputies working off-duty at the fair in Amarillo. The male suspect opened fire on the deputies, striking a deputy and an off-duty firefighter, also working at the fair, and a bystander.
The Deputy, Firefighter, and bystander were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the gunman was taken to the hospital with injuries that are life-threatening. There is yet no motive for the shooting, which is being investigated by the Texas Rangers.
OHIO FIREFIGHTER PINNED UNDER ROLLOVER FIRE APPARATUS
A Firefighter underwent surgery Monday and remains in a hospital in Columbus after a rollover crash that happened Sunday. The 72-year-old volunteer Firefighter suffered fractures in his lower leg.
While returning from a run, the pumper that the Firefighter was driving rolled over the side of a hill, throwing him out and pinning his leg underneath the truck. Nobody else was on board. Other Firefighters also on their way back saw the truck had flipped and used airbags to lift the truck and pull the firefighter out. He was then flown to a hospital.
We wish all the above members a rapid recovery.
Take Care. Be Careful. Pass it On.
