Hey…
A pedestrian was struck and critically injured by a car this morning in Aledo (Texas) and an AFD Firefighter on that scene was injured after his foot over by the fire apparatus while on scene. The Aledo Firefighter was injured when the engine began to roll…and the firefighter chased after it…when his foot got caught under the tire. The apparatus rolled about 40 feet and also ran into 2 parked police cars. Initial reports indicate that the engine was set in park, but the Firefighter forgot to set the emergency brake. The FF was transported with a possible broken foot and for non-life threatening injuries.
