A firefighter battling a blaze is rushed to the hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.
The Dillon county firefighter, whose name wasn’t given, was rushed to McCleod Hospital where doctors continue to work on him, Dillon fire officials said.
The injured firefighter was trying to put out the flames at the Players Nightclub just after midnight at 921 Dean Court. Fire officials said the firefighter was on the line when he just "dropped."
This is the second time this building has gone up in flames in a week fire officials said. They believe the first fire was set intentionally. Officials think Friday morning’s fire rekindled itself. The club is heavily damaged after the walls and roof caved in, fire officials said. Dillon city firefighters also assisted with putting out the flames
