FDNY RELEASES NEW PSA ABOUT Li-ION BATTERIES IN WAKE OF ANOTHER FATAL FIRE

FDNY fire marshals have determined the cause of a deadly fire on Oct. 24 in the Bronx was a lithium-ion battery, killing one person.

The FDNY has released a new Public Service Announcement (PSA), reminding New Yorkers to charge lithium-ion batteries outside wherever possible.

“As I have said before, one death is too many. The FDNY will not stop until that number is zero,” FDNY Commissioner Robert S. Tucker said.
