FDNY EMS LODD-MURDER CHARGES AGAINST LONG TIME CRIMINAL IN DEATH OF EMT

A long time criminal is now facing charges after an FDNY EMT was struck and killed by her own ambulance that he had just stolen in the Bronx.
Surrounded by mourning FDNY EMTs, 25-year-old career criminal Jose Gonzales was walked out of the 43rd police precinct this morning in handcuffs, charged with murder, grand larceny and operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs. Gonzales has been arrested 10 times before for misdemeanors
FDNY EMT Yadira Arroyo, 44, and her partner were responding to that emergency call last night on White Plains Road in the Soundview section when their ambulance was overtaken by Gonzales, who was hanging on the back bumper.
They stopped the ambulance, they got out to see what was happening and Gonzales, in turn, went around the other side of the ambulance and got into the driver’s side, and he put the ambulance in reverse, hitting Arroyo. Her partner still trying to fight him off.
