A civilian involved in a crash with a Jacksonville Fire Rescue Battalion Chief’s SUV 12 days ago had died and the cops are still investigating why the wreck occurred. Mr. Howard Corrigan was driving his pickup when it was struck by the fire department SUV that crossed an intersection. Mr. Corrigan was ejected, treated and was transported to the hospital where he died later that day, but the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office did not release his name or any information about his death until Wednesday. The Jacksonville FD vehicle had its lights and siren on at the time of the collision and the chief was responding to a fire.
