BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — A man and woman crashed into a Birmingham fire station after being shot Tuesday night.
The incident happened at Fire Station 30 on Old Springville Road shortly before 7:00 p.m.
The Birmingham Police Department said the injured people were inside a vehicle. When officers arrived, police said firefighters were working on the victims.
Police said the initial shooting happened at a nearby Shell gas station. The man and woman were reportedly approached by suspects who fired at them.
The pair drove off to the fire station. Police said no one is in custody.
No firefighters at the station were injured, but there was damage to the building’s bay door from the vehicle hitting it.
