An ambulance driver was cited for careless driving Thursday after he rear-ended a firetruck stopped on a Butler County road for a school bus, according to state police.
The driver of the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Service vehicle and the 73-year-old patient being transported to a local hospital suffered minor injuries. An attendant in the back of the ambulance had moderate injuries, police said.
A passenger in the Lick Hill Volunteer Fire Department truck suffered minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene of the wreck, which occurred at 3:15 p.m. on Route 68.
