ARANSAS PASS – An ambulance driver ended up needing a ride to the hospital after he found himself involved in a rollover accident.
It happened overnight near Aransas Pass on FM 1069 and Demory road.
A Tri-County EMS unit was responding to a call when the driver swerved to avoid shopping cart that had been left in the middle of the road.
The driver lost control of the ambulance, hit a ditch and rolled the ambulance.
The driver was taken to a Corpus Christi hospital with mostly minor injuries.
