AMBULANCE ROLLS AFTER CRASH WITH CAR – NEW HAMPSHIRE

An ambulance was involved in a rollover crash Wednesday morning in Manchester, and a responding police cruiser was later involved in a separate crash.

The separate crashes happened around 11:40 a.m. on Tarrytown Road, near the entrance to Elliot Hospital.

The ambulance collided with a car before rolling over. The car was left with significant front-end damage.

Fire officials said the ambulance was responding to a call at the time.

There were no patients in the ambulance at the time of that crash. Two medics in the ambulance were left trapped after the crash. Fire crews helped remove them through the ambulance’s windshield.

The medics suffered injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.

The driver of the other car was not injured.

Crews were working in the early afternoon to get the ambulance upright. A stretch of Tarrytown Road is closed between Nelson Street and Massabesic Street.

An officer responding to the ambulance crash was involved in a separate crash nearby on Valley Street near Jewett Street.

The cruiser and another vehicle were involved in a collision. Both vehicles were heavily damaged.

The officer was transported to Elliot Hospital after the cruiser crash. Two people in the other vehicle were taken to a hospital for treatment.
