We are tracking a developing story in Santa Maria this afternoon, where an ambulance has been involved in a traffic accident while responding to a call.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says one of their engines is responding to an accident in which an American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance was involved. The crash happened at Highway 135 and Lakeview Road in Santa Maria at about 1:00 p.m.
The ambulance was responding to a call at the time of the accident.
It is unknown at this time if there are any injuries.

An ambulance and car collide in Santa Maria.
Santa Barbara County fire crews could not offer many details, but say the ambulance was responding to a call at about 1:00 p.m. Thursday when it collided with a car at the intersection of Lakeview Road and Highway 135.
Three people were taken to the hospital.
