AMBULANCE INVOLVED IN CRASH IN OHIO

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — An ambulance was involved in a crash on Monday in Harrison Township.

Nathan Edwards, communications manager for Harrison Twp., confirmed to 2 NEWS that a township ambulance was headed south on Payne Avenue near Rector Avenue on June 30 around 8:10 a.m.

Edwards claims the driver of a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer collided head-on with the medic.

The Chevrolet operator is believed to be in critical condition, according to Edwards. The paramedics sustained injuries, but are expected to fully recover.

Edwards said the township’s fire department is rearranging crews to ensure that enough paramedics are on staff to serve the area.

As of date, the crash remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
