DURHAM, N.C. —
An ambulance as well as another vehicle was damaged by gunfire in the parking lot of a BP gas station in Durham.
Police say a burgundy vehicle was pulling out of a parking lot in the 3600 block of North Duke Street onto Horton Road when the occupants of the vehicle fired several shots, hitting the North State Medical Transport van and another car.
Both vehicles were occupied and in the parking lot of the BP at North Duke Street and Horton Road, though no patients were in the ambulance.
