Part of Alumni Drive near New Circle Road in Lexington was closed Monday afternoon.
Police had to reroute traffic after a crash that involved a Harlan County ambulance and two minivans.
Officers said the ambulance had been transporting patients at the time, but they were not hurt.
Police said one person in one of the minivans was injured.
All lanes of traffic were reopened by 5:00p.m.
It was not yet known what had caused the crash.
