One Anchorage firefighter was transported to the hospital Friday after suffering minor injuries at a duplex fire. The firefighter was later released.
The nature and extend of the firefighter’s injuries were not reported.
According to KTVA, firefighters were on scene within five minutes and found one of the two units heavily involved — fire was blowing out of the windows on three sides. Firefighters initiated an exterior attack until they could make entry and conduct a search.
Firefighters had the blaze under control in 30 minutes. The fire crew saved the adjoining home from damage.
