AIR EMS LODD KILLS 4 Incl. EMS Official & Fire Chief’s Wife: Radio Traffic (The Secret List)

All,

We regret to pass on that a plane operating as an air ambulance crashed at 19:15 hours Monday in San Diego County, California. The aircraft belonged to Aeromedevac Air Ambulance, and had flown a patient from Arizona to Orange County before attempting its return trip to Gillespie Field. The aircraft was equipped with two pilots and two EMS medical personnel.

One of the victims was Tina Ward, a flight nurse and the wife of the department’s recently retired Oceanside Deputy Fire Chief, Joe Ward.

“It is with heavy hearts that the Oceanside Fire Department and their fire family would like to extend our deepest condolences to our recently retired Chief Ward, his family, and all family and friends of the Aeromedevac flight crew N880Z. Chief Ward’s wife Tina, was a flight nurse on board of the aircraft that crashed last night in El Cajon,” Oceanside Firefighters Association 3736 posted Tuesday night on Instagram. “We are shocked and saddened by this devastating news and are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday identified two of the crash victims as Douglas James Grande, 45, and 67-year-old Julian Jorge Bugaj. The International Association of EMTs and Paramedics identified a 4th victim as Local 162 President Laurie Gentz.
