NIOSH continues to accept fire department reporting of potential SCBA or component failures, near-failures, or significant performance degradation due to normal use, per NFPA 1850. Fire departments can notify NIOSH by emailing [email protected], describing the issue, circumstances, and specific conditions or cause.
