MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A man who was shot three times showed up late Wednesday night at a gas station in Frayser for help, police said.
According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), officers were at a Valero on North Hollywood Street investigating a hit-and-run crash involving an ambulance when the man pulled up to the parking lot. He told police that he was shot at the Renaissance at Steele apartments near North Hollywood and James Road and drove about three miles to the gas station.
The man told MPD that three people blocked him near the complex’s mailboxes and robbed him. He was left with critical injuries, police said. MPD said investigators obtained surveillance footage showing the suspects wearing ski masks and carrying guns.
