All,
Eight Firefighters in a remote northern Alberta town became trapped last night as wildfires closed in on communities across the province, forcing thousands to evacuate.
The 8 Firefighters were forced to shelter in place and are waiting for rescue as the fire moved toward Chipewyan Lake, about 450 kilometers north of Edmonton.
The Firefighters were responding to a wildfire when they temporarily lost radio contact just after 8 p.m. Attempts are being made to rescue the members, but the smoke and fire conditions are hindering those attempts. Links below.
