CLOSE CALL ON THE HIGHWAY

While operating on a Rural Highway (NV-159 mm8 Speed Limit 50mph) after setting up a warning at the top of the hill for eastbound traffic, observed a vehicle slowing down. The driver pulled out their cell phone to record the scene as they approached another vehicle cresting the hill at a normal to high rate of speed almost striking the car in front of them as I walked back (westbound on eastbound shoulder), only two avenues of escape for the approaching vehicle was either oncoming traffic or the eastbound shoulder.

While returning to the station, my driver advised me that we had a vehicle in the ditch, as we activated the emergency lights and turned around, to check the scene; while he went to check on the patients, I set up the cones for the westbound traffic on the two-lane rural highway (NV-159), unfortunately, there was not enough room to completely move the Tender off the roadway, while directing traffic until Law Enforcement arrives, some drivers just ignored the direction, where several almost collided head-on/offset that would have involved the Tender.
