PITTSBURGH —
A firefighter collapsed while on the scene of a fire in East Hill Wednesday night.
Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 was there as crews first began working to put out the flames within the 700 block of Wilkinsburg Avenue after 9 p.m.
While on scene, the fire chief told us that a firefighter had collapsed and was taken to the hospital.
The chief said the firefighter was a commanding officer who happened to suffer a medical emergency unrelated to the fire.
