COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Comstock Township fire vehicle was damaged in a crash Tuesday.
No one was injured, the fire department said in a Facebook post.
It happened around 9 p.m. while the Comstock Fire & Rescue pickup truck was parked along Gull Road east of Sprinkle Road while responding to another crash. The fire department said the truck’s emergency lights were on.
“This incident illustrates the danger potential in emergency zones. Michigan’s Move Over law requires drivers to reduce speed by at least 10 mph below the posted limit and move over for stationary vehicles with flashing lights,” the fire department reminded drivers. “Please help protect not only our responders but all emergency responders’ safety!”
State police are investigating the crash.
