Police said one person was injured Sunday when a Dubuque Fire Department truck ran a red light and hit her vehicle in downtown Dubuque.
Sierra E. Eversoll, 22, of Pearl City, Ill., complained of pain and potential injury but was not taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment, according to a crash report.
The crash happened at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of East 14th Street and White Street in Dubuque.
The report states that Jacob R. Reiff, 38, of Dubuque, was driving a Dubuque Fire Department ladder truck north on White Street, with the vehicle’s emergency lights and sirens activated.
Reiff drove through a red light and struck Eversoll’s vehicle, which was traveling west on East 14th Street through the intersection. Reiff was cited with failure to respond to a steady red signal.
