All,
We regret to pass on that Four Canadian Firefighters were killed in the Line of Duty after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 1 west of Kamloops near near the community of Walhachin, British Columbia, Canada.
All 4 were Firefighters working as B.C. Wildfire Service sub-contractors from various locations in the province. They were returning from fighting fires yesterday when the Ford F-350 pickup truck they were in collided head-on with a semi-trailer around 0200 hours.
The 4 Firefighters were pronounced dead at the scene. The semi caught fire but the driver managed to escape. An initial investigation determined the pickup failed to navigate a bend in the road to the right and crossed the centre line, hitting the semi. Our condolences to all those affected. Rest In Peace.
Take Care. Be Careful. Pass It On.
