All,
We regret to pass on that a Farmland VFD, Indiana (NW of Dayton, Ohio) Firefighter was killed in the Line of Duty and another Firefighter is critical following a responding apparatus crash this morning.
The apparatus reportedly rolled over while traveling on Randolph County Road 1000-W, apparently before 0700, while responding to a fire.
Initial reports indicated that at least 1 of the FFs had been thrown from the vehicle.
A second firefighter was also injured in the one-vehicle crash, and was flown by medical helicopter to a Fort Wayne hospital.
Much more to follow.
Take Care. Be Careful. Pass It On.
