I continue to move forward in my goal of having my kids/grandkids homes and our home fire sprinklered (retro). Two are done (one was not at all easy as the local water authority didn’t “recognize” residential sprinklers so we installed our own tanks) and I have two more to go—and they are both in that archaic water authority jurisdiction…who see all systems as commercial systems. Yes-I worked with national experts, state and local authorities–with no success,
Because of that, I looked to find another way to getting it done-because-it will get done. While I always knew home builder associations did much to block our efforts, it never occurred to me that our WATER AUTHORITY would make it near impossible as well.
