We regret to advise you that a Kansas City, Mo., Firefighter has died after having a medical emergency during his annual fire department physical examination. Kansas City Fire apparatus Operator Richard Paul, 54, suffered a medical emergency late this morning during his annual Kansas City Fire Department physical exam. Firefighter Paul was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and died later.
FF Paul was married and had two children. He entered the Fire Academy in 1977 and was promoted to a fire apparatus operator in 2006. We’ll post more on our home page as it becomes available. As always, our sincere condolences.
