Firefighter Injured in Georgia

Two firefighters received minor injuries while battling a blaze in Flowery Branch late Thursday afternoon.

Hall county Fire Chief David Kimbrell says firefighters were inside the 2000 square foot home when the roof gave way.

One fireman had minor burns, the other suffered a possible back strain and was transported to the Medical center. Both fireman have been released.

Kimbrell adds, the home located on the 3600 block of Valley Creek Drive was occupied at the time of the fire but they managed to escape the flames unharmed.

The cause of the fire is thought to have been cooking on the back deck that got out of hand.

The fire caused around $40,000 dollars worth of damage.
