A Louisville Metro EMS worker and a Middletown firefighter were injured. Both workers have been taken to University Hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.

Shortly before that accident, another crash at Taylorsville Road and Taylorsville Lake Road resulted in the death of one person.

The call came into MetroSafe at 2:10 p.m. Arriving emergency crews found three vehicles involved in the crash, a GMC pickup, a Dodge pickup and a Pontiac Grand Am. The lone fatality was an elderly man, the driver of the GMC pickup. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
