It’s not every day that an emergency vehicle becomes part of the emergency.

But that’s what happened around 3 a.m. Monday when a car crashed into a Dallas Fire-Rescue ambulance on Singleton Boulevard near Sylvan Avenue in Oak Cliff.
Police said the ambulance was heading to a call when an eastbound car hit the median and collided with the rescue vehicle.
No one was hurt, but collision damage will have Rescue 45 out of service for a while.
