For the first time in years, I was in the right place at the right time. Have to say it was the first time I thought I was watching two guys that were dying in front of my eyes but it ended fine with minor injuries. Members of Ladder 1 had finished opening the roof and were heading back to the ladder. On the way the roof burned out below them and they went with it. One guy rolled down the roof and miraculously came to a stop a foot from falling off the the top of the 3rd floor. The other guys leg went through the hole and he fought to get it out.
