Adding Fuel To The Fire, Literally-VIDEO, Fireground Bosses (The Secret List)

Hey,

This will be quick-take a look at this video and understand why no matter how many Federal dollars are given to us to do firefighter training, no matter how many national meetings are held, no matter how many studies are done, standards written and no matter whatever else you can think of that is done for us-if the issues of Firefighter Survival aren’t handled "locally" – the ability to unnecessarily injure and kill Firefighters will continue. The potential for Firefighter death is very real in this clip. It has happened before and while many HAVE learned from past Firefighter deaths, the leadership of these people have not. Some may claim that "live fire training" needs to be outlawed, we disagree-we just need to follow the standards-standards that were developed because of firefighters killed doing just what is seen here:

AND SPEAKING OF FIREGROUND LEADERSHIP:

Be it the "training ground" or the "fireground" –  we have a choice to operate professionally or operate like the above circus shown in that video. It often comes down to the "bosses"-the Company Officers and the Chief Officers as the "bottom line" of why things go right-or wrong.

One solution we want to pass on to you is the 2nd Annual Brunacini’s Hazard Zone (Fire Ground) Management Conference.

This really solid Conference will take place at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, on October 17th to 19th, 2011. This conference will focus on all 3 of the major hazard zone (fireground) breakdowns that are killing and injuring firefighters today; incident command systems, the critical decision-making process, along with the most up to date and inclusive fire/burn studies done over the past two years.

This is a "WELL WORTH IT" training event that over 400 firefighters & officers attended last year.
