Windsor Ct – We regret to advise you that a Firefighter collapsed on the scene of a fire call while standing by the hydrant late last night. Initial reports are that he collapsed, had CPR initiated by other Firefighters, was treated and transported to the hospital by a Windsor EMS ALS unit but was pronounced dead in the Line of Duty at St. Francis Hospital. The Firefighter’s name has not been released pending notification of his family. The call was a report of smoke in the building at the Windsor Rehabilitation Center and came in around 2000 hours.
