18 YEAR OLD FIREFIGHTER KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY-CRASH WHILE RESPONDING-NO SEAT BELT

We regret to advise you that a Volunteer Firefighter was killed in the Line of Duty after being in a car crash while responding to fire call yesterday morning. FF Jacob Anthony Carter, 18, died at the hospital in Tupelo after suffering massive trauma when his 2002 Ford Explorer ran off the road. His personal vehicle then overturned and struck a tree. FF Carter, who was a Firefighter with the Becker-Athens Volunteer Fire Department, was not wearing his seat belt. As always, our sincere condolences to all affected.
