If you are like me, you are getting all sorts of “feeds” related to the sales of 9/11 shirts and related items as we approach the anniversary of those that still suffer, were lost and were murdered by the vicious attacks on our nation.
When purchasing, a good rule to remember is to look for a few things before buying from someone (or a business) who may be purely profiting off the event. Good vendors include a stated/written fact that they are donating to the FDNY Foundation or a clearly recognized charity such as Tunnel to Towers. There are others*, but make sure your money is going to a cause that matters. Also, many FDNY companies have shirts and items to honor the memories of their members.
Below are links to two specific legit providers. The FDNY Foundation (non-profit) and Ten Three Graphics (a for profit Firefighter business who have a long and validated history of legitimately supporting and measurably donating from their sales), that may be helpful for your consideration.
