Six firefighters have been injured after their U.S. Forest Service truck crashed in Palmdale when the driver swerved to avoid a dog.
The truck plunged down a hillside on Mount Emma Road near Angeles National Forest shortly after 9:30 p.m. Monday. Authorities say the driver swerved to avoid a dog.
Los Angeles County fire dispatcher Ed Pickett says six firefighters were driver or airlifted to hospitals for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.
