MARLBORO – Police are at the scene of a serious accident, which has forced the closure of a portion of Route 79 for an indefinite period of time.
Route 79, between Station and Harbour roads, is closed due to a “serious motor vehicle accident,” township police posted on its Facebook page about 4 p.m. on Oct. 2.
“The roadway is expected to remain closed for an unknown period of time while emergency personnel remain on the scene,” the Facebook post said. “Please avoid the area, seek an alternate route and allow emergency personnel to work safely.”
