It’s with deepest regret that we pass on to you from WFD Chief Anthony Goode that a 3rd firefighter has died in the Line of Duty from that September 24th Wilmington house fire. Senior Firefighter Ardy Hope died today after a heroic and very tough fight. She had been in the burn unit with 70% burns.
As you will recall the fire also killed Capt. Chris Leach and Lt. Jerry Fickes in the Line of Duty. More to follow. Our condolences to all those affected. Rest In Peace.
