here’s an update on a Princeton house fire from Monday night.
Our media partner, The Princeton Daily Clarion, says the home that burned belongs to the family of Princeton Community High School athletic director, Jason Engelbrecht.
The house is right across from the high school on State Road 65. Everyone got out of the house safely.
The street was shut down for several hours and Princeton fire had to call in help from four surrounding departments.
Two firefighters were taken to the hospital. One with an arm injury and the other with a back injury.
Engelbrecht tweeted the following from the school’s Twitter: “Many thanks for the generous outpouring of love and support in light of tonight’s tragedy. We are safe and will prevail.”
No details on the cause of the fire have been released yet. We will continue to follow this story and update you with the latest information.
