Two firefighters were injured in an explosion as they tackled a large blaze at a sawmill in Co Cork.
The blaze at Palfab in Lissarda, which is west of Cork city, started early this morning.
Gardaí arrived at the scene at around 5am, and a large explosion occurred at around 6.30am.
Two firefighters were injured in the blast and were treated at the scene before being brought to Cork University Hospital.
They were not seriously injured in the incident.
Around 12 units of Cork City and County Fire Brigades attended the fire.
There are no road closures in place and the Health and Safety Authority has been informed of the incident.
