We regret to pass on the Line-Of-Duty Death of Frederick County Fire & Rescue (northern Virginia) Deputy Chief Chester T. Lauck who passed away this morning 0809 hours at Winchester Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. Chief Lauck suffered a cardiac event at his home very early Saturday morning several hours after operating at a wildland fire in Gore, VA.
Among his extensive years of fire & rescue service in the northern Virginia area, he was a life member and past Chief of Round Hill VFR, a Virginia Forestry Patrolman and he retired from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) Fire and Rescue Department as a Battalion Chief in 2007.
