If your department has not yet experienced a fire involving a lithium ION battery using device, it’s coming….but odd’s are you have.
Yesterday, FDNY units fought a third alarm fire caused by a lithium-ion battery mobility device.
The Department has recently issued Haz-Mat 20 – Lithium-Ion Battery Mobility Device Fires which we are passing on to you from their training division. Two tips have been developed to discuss this topic (see link below). Embedded within the tip is a link/QR to Haz-Mat 20.
