A 31 year old firefighter from Knightdale, NC (Eastern Wake FD) was killed early this morning when he was struck by a tree that his crew had extinguished following a lightning strike.
Firefighter Todd Blanchard leaves behind his Fiance’ and 2 children.
As always our deepest thoughts go out to the members of the EWFD but especially the family of Firefighter Blanchard.
