A Geneva firefighter was airlifted to a hospital Monday night after he suffered a heart issue during a house fire in Seneca County, volunteer firefighters said.
Firefighters were battling the blaze from outside the home, at 31 Moore St. in Border City, when the Geneva firefighter started having heart issues, according to firefighters who kept the public updated on the Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire Facebook page.
Mercy Flight airlifted the firefighter to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. His condition was not known Monday night.
