A medical helicopter carrying 3 people crashed this afternoon in midtown Tucson, AZ, 1 person died in the crash and 2 are injured. There were no patients on board.
The pilot of the chopper was in contact with air traffic control, but gave no indication of any problem as the chopper was on the way from Marana to Douglas. One witness says they saw a black helicopter flying over his house, heard the engines just shut off and then it crashed and was on fire.
